System / tab audio
System audio capture is offered by the browser's own share dialog — you'll see a "Share audio" checkbox there. Some OS/browser combos (notably Safari, and screen sharing on macOS) don't support it at all.

Mouse effects (tab capture only)
Click ripple
Browsers can only see the mouse inside the page. These effects work when recording Browser Tab; for Entire Screen / Window we can't see your OS cursor, so they're disabled automatically.

Live captions (AI transcript)
Live captions use your browser's built-in speech recognition (Chrome/Edge). That service is provided by the browser vendor, not by us — it's the one piece that isn't purely on-device. Everything else here never leaves this tab.

Multi-scroll capture stacks screenshots you take manually while you scroll — there's no seam-detection, so keep captures slightly overlapping. A true one-click full-page stitch needs a real DOM-walking technique that only works for pages you own, not arbitrary screens.

Every recording, screenshot, and edit happens on your device and is stored in your browser's local database. Nothing is uploaded automatically — ever. A few features have honest asterisks:
- Live captions use the browser's own speech-recognition engine, which in Chrome/Edge is cloud-backed by the browser vendor — the one exception to "fully on-device."
- Cursor effects (highlight, spotlight, trail, ripple) only work for Browser Tab recording — a web page cannot see your OS-level cursor position when you record the whole screen or another window.
- Background blur behind your webcam isn't included — real segmentation needs a ML model we chose not to bundle, so we ship reliable shape/border/shadow/mirror instead.
- AI summary / chapters / action items / filler-word removal are local rule-based heuristics, not a hosted language model.
- Cloud exports (Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, YouTube) and embed codes need a server and account connection we don't have — buttons download your file and open the destination site instead.
